  Notes	It is family history that Peter's brother, Stephen Clayton Dennison, fought and died at the Alamo. In 1851 several of the Petree siblings migrated to Caldwell County Missouri. Nancy Gracey Petree Dennison and Peter L. Dennison also migrated to Missouri about this time since their son, Calvin Newton (Newt) Dennison was born in Missouri around 1851, and Peter L. Dennison had purchased land in Caldwell County, Missouri in 1852. But unlike the other Petree siblings, Nancy and Peter Dennison returned to Illinois around 1853. Nancy Gracey Petree Dennison returned to Missouri sometime after the death of Peter L. Dennison. Peter L. Dennison is last recorded in Hannibal, Ralls, Missouri on the 1866 United States IRS Tax Assessment List.
