Clayton T. Ross enlisted on 27 Apr 1898 into Company H, 4th Regiment Missouri Infantry. He was a private in the Spanish American War. He was discharged 11 Aug 1898. He was admitted into the United States National Home for Disabled Soldiers in 1925 in Sawtelle, Los Angeles, California. That is where he died.
