Enoch and Joanna Oliver Davis are living in Wilson County, Tennessee on the 1820 and 1830 census. Enoch Davis purchased 160 acres in Calloway County, Kentucky on 28 Feb 1831, and Joanna Oliver Davis is widowed on the 1840 Calloway County, Kentucky census.
The family Bible of Amos Carroll Chambers lists these sisters of Clarinda Elkins Davis Chambers: Lucretia Davis Powell and Zilpha Davis Lawrence.
In the Calloway County, Kentucky Deed Book, Volume C-E 1837-1846; Deed Book D, page 91 indenture: 3 Davis sisters sell their portion of the land that they inherited from their father, Enoch Davis, to their sister and brother in law, Zilphia Davis Lawrence and John Lawrence. The three Davis sisters were: Clarinda Elkins Davis Chambers, Joanna Davis Bredrick, Rutha Davis Dooms. The legal land description, Quarter Section Location: SW, Quarter Section #: 23, Township: 1, Range: 3, East/West: E, is the same that is listed on the original land grant of Enoch Davis.
Enoch Davis gave consent for the marriage of Clarinda Elkins Davis, so he had to have died after Jan 1832. His daughters sell their portion of their inheritance in Nov 1839, so he had to have died before then.
