Davis B. Dulaney's family Bible states that William G. Gordon died on 12 May 1848 and Mack Booker Dulaney's family Bible states that William G. Gordon died on 13 May 1848. Since the Gordon's were living with Mack Booker Dulaney, more than likely Mack Booker Dulaney's Bible entry is correct.

Notes
Several researchers state that Evan S. Gordon was the son of William G. Gordon and Elizabeth Minor. This is not true. If he were the son of William G. Gordon he would have been listed as an heir on the 1851 quit claim deed between William G. Gordon Heirs and William Camp.
William Gordon, Sr. Will The will of William Gordon Sr. lists these children: William G. Gordon, Sarah "Sally" Gordon, James E. Gordon, Polly Gordon, Tabitha Gordon, and Thomas B. Gordon.
William G. Gordon and Elizabeth Minor Marriage Record On Elizabeth Minor and William G. Gordon's marriage record, Elizabeth Minor is listed as Elizabeth Nipper. This is because her mother had remarried William Nipper and she was using the Nipper surname.
