Henderson James "Henry" Brown first enlisted 5 Aug 1862 with Co. F., 134th Volunteer Infantry. He belonged to the 5th Core of the Army of the Potomac in engagements at Chancellorsville and the second battle of Bull Run. He was discharged on 13 Jan 1863 due to "disability in the field". He re-enlisted 29 Aug 1864 with Co. H., 6th Pennsylvania Heavy Artillery. He was promoted to Corporal by Colonel Barnes, and was discharged 13 Jun 1865.
Henderson James "Henry" Brown was owner of the Brown Funeral Home.
